Dr Jason Ngo Chek Tung is a UK trained retina specialist qualified in treating retinal diseases such as retinal detachment, aged macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic eye diseases.

He obtained his undergraduate medical degree from University Malaya. He then continued his studies in ophthalmology and obtained Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) from National University of Singapore. He was admitted as the fellow of Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth, London) in 2009. Subsequently, he continued his RCOphth certified Vitreoretinal Surgery training at largest teaching hospital in Europe- St James's University Hospital, Leeds, UK.

Upon returning to Malaysia, he is actively involved in teaching junior doctors. He published numerous ophthamology books besides articles in peer reviewed journal. He invented a way of suturing during vitrectomy which will markedly reduce post operative discomfort in the patient. This was published in a renowned interactive journal - Retina Today in US.
